Social Smoke Japanese Yuzu Shisha (Floral Tart Citrus) – 200g Tin – Ships from Florida

Description

A Different Kind of Citrus: Social Smoke Japanese Yuzu

The manufacturer presents Social Smoke Japanese Yuzu as a wake-up call of unique Japanese citrus, tart like lemon, with a floral lift and a touch of grapefruit bitterness.

Why this made the cut (Speed Hookah Pick)

Yuzu is uncommon on hookah shelves, which is exactly why it earned a spot. Social Smoke states that its blends use unwashed flue-cured Virginia tobacco without preservatives or artificial colors, and the leaf is made for thick, long-lasting clouds that give a bright citrus flavor room to show up. It also makes a good gift-style pick for the friend who already owns every common citrus and wants something with a little more personality.

The Sensory Experience

• The Inhale: A sharp, tart citrus hit with a floral lift that feels lemon-like but more complex.
• The Exhale: A faint grapefruit-style bitterness shows up at the end and keeps it interesting.
• The Buzz: Moderate. This is unwashed Virginia leaf, so it tends to feel a little fuller than a washed blonde leaf.

Expert Packing & Heat Management

We like a fluff pack in a bowl phunnel with foil or HMD and 2 to 3 coconut cubes (25 to 26 mm). Citrus can turn harsh with too much heat, so keep it moderate and open the airflow a little if the bitterness grows. Bitter citrus notes can sneak up when the coals run hot. Rotate your cubes early and keep an eye on the bowl rather than waiting for it to taste harsh.

Who Will Love It

If you have tried yuzu in drinks or desserts, you already know it is not quite lemon and not quite grapefruit. That makes this a great choice for curious smokers who are tired of the usual citrus lineup. If you prefer sweet over tart, mix it with something creamy or sugary to soften it.
